Hey, I'm Ahmed, an engineering student raised in the Bay Area. I picked up sewing in the summer of 2024 and since then I've been able to artistically express myself through making pants, @pcsews.

Where does the keychain lighter come in? When it comes to sewing, you end up with a lottt of loose ends and even when a product is fully finished, there's always that sneaky thread or two you never catch. On top of that, I kept losing my lighter in my messy sewing station, in my car, or anywhere around the house.

So I came up with a solution. I couldn't find a lighter holder that wasn't tacky, bulky, or purely functional.

My first prototype was a wire clothing hanger with the paint burnt and scraped off, bent and coiled around a lighter with a pair of pliers. I thought I had something that looked very unique and was functional. A year following that creation, I decided I wanted to share this piece of art.
